Privacy Policy – Perch

This privacy policy describes how Studio Byway processes certain information in connection with the use of the Perch application, as well as users' rights in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Access to the application and user account

Perch can be used without creating an account for a limited period of time (one day).

Creating an account is optional, but necessary in order to:

• save and sync progress,
• retain usage history,
• access paid subscription features.

Authentication is provided by Firebase via:

• email login,
• login via Google account.

3. Data processed

3.1 Identification data

When an account is created, the following information is processed:

• email address.

No other personal identification data (first name, last name, username, postal address) is requested.

3.2 Usage data

In order to ensure the operation of the application, the following data are stored:

• user progress,
• usage history,
• language preferences.

3.3 Subscription data

Subscriptions (monthly or yearly) are managed by Google Play, with the help of RevenueCat for subscription status management.

Studio Byway:

• has no access to banking information,
• can only view subscription status (active or not) and subscription type.

4. Purposes of processing

Data is used exclusively to:

• provide and maintain application features,
• save and restore progress,
• manage access to premium features,
• respond to user support requests.

No data is used for advertising or resale purposes.

5. Third-party services

Perch relies on the following third-party services:

• Firebase: authentication,
• Supabase: data storage,
• RevenueCat: management of premium access via subscription,
• Google Play: app distribution and payments.

These services process only the data necessary for their respective functions.

6. Data retention

Data associated with an account is retained as long as the account remains active. If the account is deleted, the associated data is deleted, subject to applicable legal obligations.

7. Data security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are implemented to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.

8. User rights

In accordance with the GDPR, each user has in particular:

• the right of access to their data,
• the right to rectification,
• the right to erasure,
• the right to restriction of processing.

9. Account and data deletion

Account deletion and associated data deletion can be carried out directly in the application or upon request by email.

For email requests, they must be sent to:

After receiving the request:

• the user account is deleted,
• associated data (progress, history, preferences) is deleted.

10. Target audience

Perch is primarily intended for an adult audience and is not directed to children under 13 years of age. No intentional collection of data concerning children under 13 is carried out.

11. Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be amended to reflect changes in the application or legal framework. The version in force is the one published on this page.
